Software
Here are some results of my attempts to write software. All Windows programs listed here were created with Borland C++ Builder 4 Standard. Please click on the icons on the left side to see more details or to download a program.

EVPmaker
EVPmaker cuts up a WAV file and mixes up the fragments in randomly order. The resulting "gibberish" still reminds of the sound of the original speech signal, but it contains no more intelligible information, thus it is suitable for recordings of paranormal voices, also known as "Electronic Voice Phenomena" (EVP). Of course, the program can also simply be used to generate special acoustical or musical effects...
EVPdemo
This program was made to simplify and accelerate the process of the creation of EVP demo tapes or CDs, which is usually very time-consuming if you do it manually. You can create demo files which can contain any number of EVP examples. The EVP examples can be recorded newly, or you can add EVP examples to a Demo, which are already existing. Each EVP example can be provided with a label, a written note, and a spoken comment. The sections which make up both the actual voice and the voice plus its acoustical environment can be determined with the help of a simple wave editor. Finally you can start an automatical playback of the entire demo, including all or only the marked EVP examples. During playback, each EVP example is announced by a sequential number (e.g. "Example No. 9"), followed by the spoken comment; next the voice is played a predefined number of times, and finally the voice plus its acoustical surrounding is played. This automatically running demo can be recorded e.g. on audio cassette or MiniDisc, or you can let the program generate files for a CD compilation which can be used by CD burning software (like e.g. Nero Burning Rom) to create an audio CD.

CueListTool
CueListTool is a little utility to facilitate working with the Cue-List of audio editors such as Adobe® Audition™ (formerly known as Syntrillium CoolEdit). The program is particularly useful if several people are working on a copy of the same WAV file and want to exchange and merge their results later (e.g. for evaluating EVP recordings). For this purpose, the small Cue List file can easily be sent by e-mail. Because of its capability to read and write Cue Sheets, CueListTool might also be interesting for people who work with CD images.

GeistChat is a program for chatting with... well... if I just knew...! :-)
The DOS Museum
Since I got my first PC in 1989 – a 286 with a 20 MB harddisk, 512 KB memory and 15 MHz CPU "speed" – I wrote innumerable smaller and also some bigger programs. Some of them will be exhibited here – just for fun...
